It's 78 degrees today - that means summer is coming.
I HATE summer.
I hate it because it means less clothes to hide behind.
I'm terrified.
I need to lose weight.

i completely get where you are coming from.
i love the warm weather, but i hate the idea of less clothing and more skin. ugh. does not really help at all with my crazy thinking.
however, the last comment about needing to lose weight is more than likely the ED talking. don't listen to it ... it's not truth. anytime i make a comment like that, my T will always immediately come back with "now what's the truth" ... it is important to remember that our heads (rather the ED) will lie to us all the time.
yeah, i was moaning to my husband yesterday about how much i am going to miss my large, forgiving hoodies. There's nothing really to hide behind in summer. *Sigh*
Oh sweetie *hugs* I'm so sorry that summer is so distressing for you. I think you're beautiful as you are, I think that you have a natural beauty that shines through in your writing and your comments and compassion for others but I ALSO think you're beautiful from the picture you posted a little while ago. I hope that summer brings something you can enjoy rather than the major anxiety you are experiencing right now cause at the end of the day you ARE beautiful.
I so feel you. I hate going out in shorts (a lot of my BDD has to do with my legs) and short sleeves, for that matter. I can no longer hide behind my grandpa sweaters and hipster scarfs.
I'm thinking the "losing weight" is just an ED thought. Remember, your body image is distorted and you don't see yourself as the beautiful woman you are.
Summers in St. George hang around 110+ degrees and I still wear hoodies and jackets all year round. I hear you about the summer blues... but then I get the spring blues and the fall blues and definitely winter is blargh... So what I'm trying to say is... I dunno... I have a hell of a lot of empathy and keep on fighting the good fight!
Oh brother, I hear ya! I'm bracing myself for the summer transition. I've never been really secure about my bod, so having to flaunt it more was always a concern.
These days, I'm trying my best to take it in stride, remember to be okay with myself, and let my confidence out of the box a little bit. It's not easy, cause the ED will always tell us that w'ere never at our "ideal" weight. I've learned it's better to decide to feel confident at any size/shape, than to hide out for too long.
ahhh....Sometimes, it sure ain't easy though!!! :)

No shorts for me either. BOOOOOOO to summer. Especially in the desert where it gets to 120.
Yuck.
Counting down 'til Autumn.
What I hate about summer is humidity! Dry heat isn't quite as bad, but humidity just adds such a yucky, sticky feeling.
I rarely ever wear shorts and bathing suits, fat chance!
