Ladies and gentlemen... I just got my first pair of True Religion jeans! They were 50% off at Filene's Basement (let's be honest, if they weren't 50% off I couldn't have gotten them - mucho expensiveness). But I'm excited and will post pictures soon!
Dr. K has been hounding me for months trying to get me to see a dietician. I finally caved yesterday and agreed to go to ONE session. I called the dietician and left a message, but she hasn't called me back and now I'm starting to have second thoughts. Dr. K wants me to see a dietician because she wants me on a meal plan. Groan. I personally think I have my eating under control. Yes, I'm dieting, but I'm doing it in a healthy way (I promise!). The only reason I agreed to see the dietician was on the hope that the dietician will give me a better way to lose weight. Doubtful because she is an eating disorder specialist, but it's the only thing motivating me to go. I don't know. Maybe I should go and just see what she has to say... no commitments.

Whoa babe! You know, it's the funniest thing because you sound EXACTLY like I did before my last relapse. I mean, you and I could be word-twinners for sure! I just want you to know that, although I empathize with how you feel, I think you need to focus on loving yourself NO MATTER WHAT. It all begins with one phrase: "It's just a diet..."
Love you!
PS-That hat is HOTT!
Aw, I miss hats! Not much use for them in California (but I grew up in Illinois).
Do you really need to lose weight? Do you think the dietitian will agree with this?
For the longest time, I refused to see a dietitian. Just flat out refused. It's one of the reasons my doctor and therapist wanted me to go to residential treatment (which I complied with, albeit briefly). One of the agreements that I made when I left abruptly was that I would see a local dietitian. Luckily I find one that specializes in eating disorders, is a vegetarian (like me), and also specializes in GI problems (and I have IBS-C). And as much as I hate dietary counseling, I like this chick. I keep going. Who knows...maybe you'll like yours. But even if you don't, or whatever, it's good that you gave it a try instead of just continuing to refuse.
You be careful. And I love the hat... the end.
Thanks for the tips, Jana. The dietician just called me back today and left a message, so I'l call her back.
hello, stopped by once before, but pretty new here. just sending props for the hat... and for going to a d. way to be.
Thanks for checking out my blog. I am glad you agreed to go to a dietician... even if you aren't committing to seeing her regularly. I find being on a meal plan to be very helpful. It gives me structure.
